Shhhh! He’s Listening!

(II Corinthians 4:4) “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

You have been bombarded with issues lately and it seems as if every part of your life has been attacked, your children, your job, and your relationships.  Your mind is filled with all sorts of fearful thoughts.  (Proverbs 15:15) “All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].” (Amplified Bible)

Satan attacks your mind and the barrage of thoughts of fear and evil forebodings—thoughts of “what might happen” do not have to stay in your mind!  Trash them!  Satan wants you to keep them, dwell on them, and speak them. Life is given to the words that you speak.  (John 6:63) “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life.”

Don’t speak them, trash them!    (II Corinthians 10:4-5) “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.  We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Start being an aggressive Christian and beware of Satan’s tactics.  (Matthew 11:12) “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.”  Do not be a passive Christian and expect the Lord to do everything.  He already did it, He died on the cross.  Why do you think the Israelites had to fight in battles to possess the Promised Land?  The battles help us to grow, they strengthen our faith, and we discover in the process who we are and who our awesome God is; our faith grows as a result.

Trash those fearful thoughts and do your homework.  Look up Bible verses about your situation and the promises of God regarding it and start speaking!  Satan attacks your mind, and he hears what you say but he cannot read your mind!  So, what are you saying?  Are you giving Satan more ammunition against you by the words that you speak?  Doesn’t he do enough damage already without you helping him to do his job?  Turn your situation around and start speaking out the promises of God and words of praise!  Satan will not stick around to praise God with you!

(Proverbs 18:21) “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
