Everyone suffers wounds of the heart due to the misuse of the free will of others. It leaves us with a heart that is scarred.  In that, we believe the lies those wounds have shouted into our spirit through Satan. From those lies we make vows from our flesh, leaving God totally out of the picture.  The lies are seeds planted in our hearts; the seeds produce vows.  The vows are like vines, and from there they produce strongholds.  Strongholds are defensive positions, habits, and thought patterns that are set up due to the lies you believed.  Reactive behavior results; behavior based on a lie.
