If You Would Only Believe

(John 11:40) “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

You may be surrounded by many issues in your life right now, and fear has overwhelmed your heart.  You have trouble in every area, with your finances, with your children, with your relationships, and maybe even your health as well.  The troubles you face are beyond your capability to take care of them; you don’t know what you are going to do.  Fear has set in—you need a miracle.

(Romans 8:15-17) “For you did not receive a spirit of fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.  And by Him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’  The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.  Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.”

Your faith is developed and stretched in the difficult times of your life.  Do you need faith when everything is going great?  Dare to trust in the One who died for you!  Remember the cross, how beaten He was, how weary He was from those beatings, having to carry His own cross to the place where He hung.  Remember the love it took for Him to do that, being fully human, fully God, and still choosing to do it.  That is love!  Then choose to trust Him through your trials; He will not fail you!

(I Peter 1: 6-9) “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.  Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

If you believed your financial help is on the way, if you believed help is on the way to get your child back on track to where they need to be, or help to bring revelation to their heart to receive Jesus, if you believed that you are healed and that help is on the way to heal and restore your broken relationships—how would you act?

How would you talk, and what would your countenance be like?  Would people see the joy and hope radiate from your face, giving you a great opportunity to witness?

(Matthew 5:14-16) “You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

There is joy in believing, dare to believe!

(Romans 15:13) “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
