Relax

ree

"Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things, I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:11-13)

True victory and maturity in Christ come when you can be content in any situation. You trust that God is in control of the good in your life, in the trials, when your prayers are answered, He is in control of protecting, providing, comforting, preventing, healing, and so much more. God is in control. Relax in His love!

If are hearts and minds could just grasp, as Paul put it, "Then you, being rooted, and grounded in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." (Ephesians 3:17-18)

If we could get that deep within our spirit and realize that God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and Jesus Christ, His one and only Son, who went to the cross gladly, to pay the price for OUR sins, and the overwhelming love He has for us, we would never doubt Him but trust Him in all situations.

He will not leave us helpless since He went to great, and painful extremes to save us from eternal damnation! So get this! Get this and relax; be content. He's got you.

  1. Relax, do not try so hard to get the Lord's attention for what you need! You already have it in Christ!

"And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

(Philippians 4:19)

  1. Relax when you pray for your desires and needs, and just believe that God hears you and that He WILL answer your prayers.

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (I Thessalonians 5:16-18)

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him." (I John 5:14-15)

"Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4)

  1. Relax while you wait in faith, giving thanks to God.

"Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. His loving devotion endures forever." (Psalm 136:1)

"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!" (Psalm 27: 13-14)

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you." (Philippians 4:6-9)

  1. Relax and love one another as He loves us. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you by the Fruit of the Spirit within you, to love others the way He wants you to.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such, there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

(Galatians 5:22-25)

  1. Relax and live each day by putting Him first, talking to Him. He wants to spend time with you! God Almighty loves spending time with you! Allow Him to order your day, and it will be successful.

"Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me." (Psalm 119:133)

  1. Relax in His care, trusting that He has you and everything will be okay, even in the most difficult situations. Trust in God's love for you; trust in His timing; don't worry, just wait in faith expecting!

"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)

  1. Relax in obeying Him and His Word, trusting that He will guide you and help you to obey Him and remind you of what He has taught you.

"Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness." (Psalm 143:10)

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye."

(Psalm 32:8)

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." (John 14:26)

  1. Relax and be joyful as you bask in His presence and worship Him for all that He is!

  1. Relax in being confident and joyful of the eternal home in heaven awaiting you!

"In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." (John 14:2-3)

"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." (Philippians 3:20)

Relax in the overwhelming, unconditional love of God. You CAN trust Him, let go, stop trying so hard, and allow HIM to direct you, help you, teach you, provide, and protect you. He has you, and He is NOT letting go.

"The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." (Jeremiah 31:3)
