The Overwhelming Love of God

Jesus and what He went through for all mankind defines what love is.
"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him." (I John 3:1)
People everywhere who reject the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior do so because they simply want to do their own will. They try to say that being a child of God, or a Christian, breeds hate.
This is actually the complete opposite of what the Lord tells us. He tells us to love, not hate.
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this, the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."
(I John 4:7-11)
There is good and evil in the world, and this is because of two things: first, Satan is evil and he roams the earth.
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world." (I Peter 5:8-9)
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
Secondly, God loves us so much that He gave us free will. He wants people to love Him freely, out of a sincere devotion and not one that is forced. Unfortunately, people misuse free will to the disadvantage of others.
Because Heaven, Eternity is forever and ever without end, there had to be a plumbline, and to differentiate between good and evil, and that is Jesus Christ. Jesus came in the flesh so He could understand us and be the propitiation for our sins! He paid the price so we would not have to! That is love, love and not hate!
"Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage."
(Hebrews 2:14-15)
Jesus suffered in the flesh and was without sin, so He could be a faithful High Priest and serve as payment for our sins. That is love!
"Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:14-16)
We, on the other hand, have all sinned; we are all flesh, and the flesh is weak. Not one single person on earth is perfect, and we all need a Savior to ensure us an eternal home in heaven.
"We all fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
Even more proof, He was beaten so bad, it was beyond human recognition, and He still chose to go to the cross! That is love!
"Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high. Just as many were astonished at you, so His visage was marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men; so shall He sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths at Him; for what had not been told them they shall see, and what they had not heard they shall consider." (Isaiah 52:13-15)
Would any of us go through that? Probably not. He did it and showed love through it before we believed in Him, while sinning, He still chose to go to the cross. That is love, NOT hate!
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
You do not have to do anything to receive Him, just believe, repent, and receive, and you become a child of God. It is that easy!
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12)
And His love is unconditional and everlasting.
"The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." (Jeremiah 31:3)
So, now that you know being a child of God is receiving unconditional love, and He commands us to love, not hate, what are you waiting for? No one knows the hour and time of their death. Do you really want to take a chance on eternity? What if your beliefs are wrong?
It is simple, make the confession today! Then tell someone and find a good Church to help you grow!
"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10:9-11)
