(Matthew 21:19) ‘Seeing a fig tree by the road, He went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, "May you never bear fruit again!" Immediately, the tree withered.”
When Jesus comes into your heart, and you truly surrender all to Him, self, self-righteousness, and self-works die, and His Spirit and the freedom and grace that come with His Spirit come alive in you!
(Galatians 5:16-18) “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”
His Holy Spirit, by the grace of God, helps you to do what on your own you cannot.
Self-reliance and self-work were brought into the world by Adam and Eve when they sinned in the Garden of Eden and became conscious of self. The Lord commanded them not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge because it represented the Law and self-righteousness.
(Genesis 3:7) “Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.”
The Tower of Babel did not work; God stopped it because God is holy.
(I Peter 1:16) "Be holy, because I am holy."
Our flesh is weak and tainted, and no flesh will be found in heaven.
(Mark 14:38) “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Only in Christ can we be transformed into His image.
(John 15:5) "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing,”
Through Him we can do all things.
(Philippians 4:13) “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”
Allow Christ to live big in and through you; the grace and anointing of Jesus Christ will allow you to do with ease that which on your own will be hard to accomplish. Let Him shine through you; live by the Spirit, and God will get the glory and His Kingdom will grow.
God’s way is much better; He has plans for us better than we can imagine. If He could create the world, us, and everything in the world without our help, do the miracles He did through Jesus and still does today, and raise Jesus from the dead for our eternal benefit, then you CAN trust Him!
Give God every part of your life, your heart, your will, and emotions; let Him live big through you. You will not be disappointed, but be truly blessed. Surrender all.
(Matthew 5:14-16) “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
