You Are Free Indeed!

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)

In Christ you are free and you already have the victory! So, why are some of us living as though we are not? Depressed, angry, worried and full of doubt. Why is that? When Jesus promises in His Word that, “He will never leave us or forsake us.” Have we forgotten that? Why are we allowing it? Jesus spoke to Satan when He was being tempted, so why aren’t we speaking to our problem? Why do we give it so much control? Why, when God Almighty El Shaddai is for us and not against us and already promised us victory! Why do we live as though we are defeated? Stop it! Remember who you are in Christ and whose you are!

How would you feel as the onslaught of bills flooded your mailbox someone told you that you were a confirmed winner of a million dollars and the check was in the mail and on top of that they emailed you confirmation of the mailed envelope? You would be ecstatic! Not only that, as you look at all the bills that cover your desk you would not have one single doubt that soon they would all be paid. We have that assurance and we also have it in writing, confirming our victory; it is called the Bible. (Psalm 1:1-3) “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His Law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”

The Bible is the written word of God and if God could speak something and it become reality then those same words will bring us victory and the reality of the prayers we lift up to God in faith. (Luke 6:47-48) “I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My Words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.” Jesus Christ is the Rock, the foundation on which our faith is built. (Isaiah 28:16) “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed.”

God gave us His Word as a source of strength and encouragement, and to help guide our path in life. He did this out of His undying love for us. He said, (Joshua 1:5) “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” His Word is just one of the ways in which God has shown His love for us and provided for us. The Lord confirmed our victory before our trials so we could go through without any fears. (Deuteronomy 20:3-4) “Hear, O Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. For the Lord your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

The enemy that we face is the day to day trials that we go through, whether it is job or financial difficulties, trouble with someone you love or you are praying for a lost loved one. God says if you submit to His will, if you love, trust and obey Him, that you will have victory! (Psalm 60:12) “With God we will gain the victory, and He will trample down our enemies.”

Victory is ours; it is promised! So stop worrying and just simply believe; God sent word ahead as proof; it is the Bible! (I Corinthians 15:54-57) “Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Read the Bible, pray it, believe it and confess it and wait in faith for the manifestation of your answered prayers! (Mark 11:24) “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

(John 16:33) “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
